TPG Weighs In On Woodstock Real Estate

city park in downtown Woodstock GAWoodstock just keeps racking up accolades, and while we’re thrilled, we can’t say we’re surprised! Lisa Morton, our lead listing specialist here at The Premier Group, was recently quoted in the Cherokee Tribune regarding Woodstock’s latest commendation. The city of Woodstock came in at number 4 on Nerd Wallet’s list of the best cities in Georgia with populations over 15,000.

The list rated cities based on financial data, with Woodstock ranking highly for homeownership (71.5%) and competitive homeownership costs (an average of 27.4% of residents’ monthly income). Other factors that influenced Woodstock’s high rank included the close proximity of entertainment and leisure amenities, like the Dixie Speedway, Red Top Mountain State Park, Lake Allatoona, the Towne Lake area, and of course Woodstock’s “quaint downtown shopping area.”

Lisa weighed in on Woodstock’s appeal as one of north Atlanta’s most popular up-and-coming suburbs, citing the vibrant downtown as a primary factor. In fact, we chose to base our TPG offices here in downtown Woodstock because the area has been thriving for years, even during the Great Recession when other Georgia cities saw their downtown districts struggle to survive. The City of Canton also made the list at number 16.
